Notice that the banner behind the stage is in English. At the other event I went to, everything was in Hindi. I think this was an indication that the two events had really different target audiences... this one aimed more at professional classes.
At the other event, the music and dances went on for longer, the female dancers were a bit more suggestive and the Maharashtran imagery and patriotism were more pronounced.

Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand Sanskriti Manch event
This was a large event hosted by a North Indian cultural group. As usual, I showed up at the time the event was supposed to start (when will I learn?) and found the whole place empty. I got a seat right up front.
